CITAS DE GUZMAN started her real estate career in 1993.  Citas is from the Philippines and caters to a lot of Filipino Investors in the Bay Area.  However, her first love is to assist first time home-buyers buy their first homes as she believes that owning your own home changes people’s lives and outlook in life, especially in children’s lives.  It also gives her a sense of fulfillment that she had made a difference in improving someone’s life, however minute or huge the difference might have been to the client.  It is also her way of building a good community.

Citas was schooled at the Philippines Women’s University, Manila, Philippines.  Her background is Business major in Management.   She became an Immigrant of the United States of America in 1976, when her older sister who took up her Masters degree in Business at the Golden Gate University in San Francisco was gainfully employed by Chevron, became a U.S. citizen and successfully sponsored the younger siblings to become immigrants.  Citas comes from a family of 7 siblings.  Education and Independence were principles instilled in their minds by her parents.

Citas is a Certified Residential Specialist, the highest designation that a Realtor can earn.  Real Estate is now her first Career.  She also does property management on the side for her clients only.  She has retired from her first career as an Office Manager / Recruiting Assistant to the Director at the University of San Francisco in 2006.  People are Citas’s business.  She considers the University of San Francisco like her second home and still maintains her strong ties with USF’s community.

Citas is also a single mom of a son who’s already graduated from the University of San Francisco.
